Industrial Engineering (Classe L-9) The Three Year Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering (Class L-9) produces professionals capable of analyzing, designing, and managing complex systems and processes in industrial sectors such as energy, industrial production, innovative materials, and technologies applied to agri-food and bioengineering. This program is designed for those who want to build solid technical and scientific skills to tackle the challenges of modern industry with an innovative and sustainable approach.A Solid, Multidisciplinary ApproachThe course begins with a comprehensive foundation in mathematics, physics, chemistry, and computer science, essential for addressing engineering problems. This is then complemented by sector specific knowledge of techniques such as technical drawing and business organization. In subsequent years, the focus shifts to disciplines specific to industrial engineering:Electrical engineering and technical physics – Study and evaluation of the energy performance of machines and systems, material science and technology – understanding the properties and transformation processes of traditional and innovative materials.Automation and control techniques – understanding control and management systems, measurement and verification of industrial performance, applied energy, and technological applications in biomedical and agri-food fields. The program has a strong practical component: laboratory activities, exercises, and a final internship allow students to apply the skills they have learned and directly engage with the worlds of production and research.Acquired SkillsGraduates in Industrial Engineering will develop the ability to: understand and model complex systems, design and manage plants and processes, analyze the energy efficiency and environmental impact of technological solutions, evaluate the characteristics and applications of materials, address organizational and managerial problems in various production contexts and communicate effectively, including in English. The methodological preparation also provides tools to update and expand their skills throughout their professional careers.Professional and Growth OpportunitiesGraduates in Industrial Engineering find employment in a wide range of sectors, including: designing and managing plants and production processes, energy analysis, maintenance and optimization of machines and systems and technical and organizational consulting for companies and public administrations. The degree allows access to the State Exam for registration as a Junior Engineer and offers the opportunity to continue with a Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering or first-level Master's programmes, enabling further specialization and access to roles of greater responsibility.A Degree Focused on Innovation and SustainabilityBecoming an industrial engineer means contributing to the development of more efficient, safe, and environmentally friendly technologies and processes, meeting the needs of an ever-evolving job market. Thanks to solid scientific training and a strong practical orientation, our graduates are ready to design the future of industry and lead innovation in the energy, production, and technology sectors. For the academic year 2025/2026, admission to the program is open, and enrollment is open from August 1, 2025.
