Outgoing Mobility Overview This section outlines opportunities for Engineering students to study, train, or conduct research abroad. The University organizes these into two main streams: Study Mobility (taking exams/attending courses) and Traineeship Mobility (internships). Key Mobility Programs Erasmus+ for Study (Studio)Purpose: Attend courses, take exams, or conduct thesis research at a Partner University in Europe (Program Countries).Duration: 2 to 12 months.Calls (Bandi): Typically published in January/February for the following academic year (e.g., Bando Erasmus studio 2025-26).Departmental Role: Prof. Ugo Della Croce and Hossein Cheraghi Bidsorkhi must approve the Learning Agreement (LA) before departure, ensuring the exams abroad replace specific UNISS Engineering exams.Erasmus+ for TraineeshipPurpose: Internships in companies, research centers, or universities abroad.Target: Enrolled students AND recent graduates (must apply before graduation).Consortiums: In addition to the standard Erasmus call, UNISS participates in the "Mine Vaganti" (NHEI) consortium, which offers additional traineeship spots.Deadline: Watch for the annual call (currently active for 2025/26).Ulisse Program (Programma Ulisse)Purpose: Mobility towards non-EU countries (Global) or destinations not covered by Erasmus+.Flexibility: Can be used for exams (Study) or internships (Traineeship).Safety: Mobility is conditional on the security status of the country (checked via ViaggiareSicuri).Requirement: The specific study or research plan must be approved by the Department in advance.International Credit Mobility (ICM - KA171)Purpose: Specific project-based mobility with non-associated third countries (e.g., Vietnam, Tunisia).Procedure: Students apply to specific calls (Bandi Erasmus KA171) linked to active departmental projects. The Student Lifecycle (Procedure) Phase 1: Before Mobility (Application)Monitor Calls: Students must check the "Bandi" page on the International site.Apply: Applications are submitted via the "Self Studenti" portal.Selection: Based on merit (Average Grade/Credits) and Language Proficiency.Learning Agreement: The student drafts the LA. The Degree Course Council must approve it.Phase 2: During MobilityChanges: If the student needs to change courses, they must submit a "Changes to Learning Agreement" form for Prof. Ugo Della Croce and Hossein Cheraghi Bidsorkhi. approval by email.Extension: Extensions are possible but must be authorized by the International Office and the Department.Phase 3: After Mobility (Recognition)Transcript of Records: The host university issues the transcript of grades.Conversion: The Department converts the grades using the ECTS conversion table.Registration: The recognized credits are uploaded to the student's career. Insurance Coverage Standard Coverage: UNISS provides basic accident and civil liability coverage for institutional activities.Supplementary Insurance (Bacheca): For health, travel, and specific COVID-19 related risks (e.g., flight cancellation, medical repatriation), UNISS does not provide a blanket policy but maintains a "Bacheca Coperture Assicurative".Action: Advise students to consult this board, where affiliated companies (e.g., Businco, Allianz, Europ Assistance) offer discounted packages for UNISS students.Note: Students going to non-EU countries (Ulisse) usually must purchase private health insurance.
